“In the early 80s, I was a sound engineer for many great bands. On tour, the guitarists would share the shortcomings of their vintage guitars. I’d update their instruments with modern features to make them usable and reliable and improve stage sound. On the side, I started building guitars for others and implemented many of those ideas from the road.
In the mid-90s, I started Crook Custom Guitars because I knew players wanted to own a guitar built to their exact vision.
